I need help man. What tires should I fit (size and brand), 18X9 40mm offset?

I would like to retain the OEM diameter to not mess with the VSS.

Looking at one of this two wheels,

If you want OEM diameter, then your only option is 245/35/18. They will fit no issues on that size wheel and offset.

No opinions on wheels as I find that to me more of a personal choice. I will say I am over the black wheels fad, and I just put gold wheels on my car.

Cool wheels!

I think the black looks sexy, but hate gold personally. Although I have seen some blue BRZ's like yourself pull of the gold look, and those do look nice.

Personally I'd go for the black though

Yeah, I can get the darker ones like half price, but IMHO, if I go out and buy wheels, I want the car to be noticeable different than stock, so the Taklites are winning for now. I should buy coilovers and wheels next week FINALLY!! Was just looking at your build thread while you were writing this response. Looking also for input in wheel brand.

Why are you going with such tall tires? Just looks?

Was looking at brake upgrades, but the numbers are ridiculous man.... i'm probably just going to get good pads, fluid, lines and master cylinder brace.

Top one is traklite angle, 20.5 lbs

Bottom are Yoshihara design, 21 lbs.

My absolute first choice on wheels was Works Emotion CR (or Kiwami don't remember right now) in bronze, but there is no way on earth I can justify $2K on wheels.

Stock is close to 21 lbs right?

Everything I've seen says between 20-21lbs, then you got to factor in the tyres.
You do have turbo so probably OK if the 245 tyres are 24lbs. Best to get a 16lbs wheel but you are getting sponsored yeah?

The Yoshihara are sponsored, the others are not. Yeah, lighter wheels are better, but considering I need a big contact area but I also need them to look good, I'm happy that they are bigger in size but close to OEM weight.

I am on the borderline of being a wheel whore. I love my JDM wheels and forged wheels. Here is a list of wheels I have owned on my cars:

Volk GT7
Volk TE37
Volk TE37
Forgeline GA3R (JDM wheels just don't seem right on a Z06)
WedsSport TC105N
Advan RGD

I like my wheels light, and generally I like them forged. I decided not to spend the extra money on forged wheels for the BRZ though. For the weight and money it is nearly impossible to beat the Enkei RPF-1s or the WedsSport TC105Ns.

I went with 265/35/18 tires because they don't make any 265/30/18 or 275/30/18 tires. The extra sidewall doesn't bother me though and a slightly taller final drive ratio is not a bad thing with a turbo. It actually corrects some of the speedometer inaccuracy as well.

Those brake upgrades sound fine to me. Just make sure you get a decent higher temp range aftermarket pad and some higher temp fluid and you are good to go to a track day.

Get the yoshiharas since it'll be free?
The sprint kit is pretty good value if you ever need better brakes
