New Takeda By aFe POWER 304SS Catback Exhaust For The 2013-2015 FR-S/BR-Z

aFe POWER is proud to release the Takeda 304SS Catback Exhaust System for the 2013, 2014, and 2015 Scion FR-S and Subaru BR-Z H-4 2.0L. The exhaust was engineered to increase power and torque as well as create a raspier sound over our previous design.

Removing the resonator enables us to achieve the sound we were aiming for, as well as reducing the diameter to the merge collector from 2-1/2” to a 2-1/4” we maintained enough back pressure to maximize power gains. 304 SS was used throughout the entire exhaust, and lustrous 304 SS polished mufflers help finish the system off with a look that no one can ignore. Our mufflers are the longest on the market at 14” versus others using 12” mufflers providing more sound volume and a low frequency killer, less drone, just like our previous system.

Countless designs were tested and dyno’d, and the finished design is the result of that effort. Testing also included track time, and care was given to those lowered or planning to in the future. Our in-house FR-S is lowered on springs with a 1.5” drop, and daily driving has not shown issues with scraping even while at the track being put through its paces.
We will have some sound clips, along with the car tearing up the roval at Auto Club Speedway coming soon.

Am I reading your webpage correctly, tech spec 45 lbs (compared to oem stock of 38lbs?). Is this accurate?

Using 304SS all the way through, it very well could be. Comments @AFE?

I'm confused. Your goal was to create more rasp? This should have Honda owners attention.

We just corrected that as you were correct. But the real weight is 36lbs of the exhaust alone, excluding the box and packaging of course.

I had your first cat back for the BRZ and was really pleased. Now that my BRZ was totalled and I'm saving for another, I really hope the sound doesn't change too much. Are you guys ever planning on making headers or any other exhaust component? I was kind of waiting for it but it never happened, and I'm looking to have the same brand piping headers back...
