Supercharger + Lightweight Crank Pulley?
I am about to install my HKS V2 supercharger kit and thinking whether to keep my lightweight Go Fast Bits crank pulley or put back the stock one which is almost 2.5 times heavier? Your thoughts / experience / arguments are appreciated!

since the supercharger will add some parasitic load/loss in the lower RPM range I would definitely leave the lighter pulley to compensate some of that loss..
I was planning to add a lighter crank pulley after I added my supercharger kit but since the Kraftwerks kit uses an adaptor that is designed for the OEM crank pulley I couldn't install an aftermarket one..I will get a lighter flywheel (probably an Exedy clutch kit) so it will be easier for blipshifts/revmatching I am not sure about the Vortech kit though

I do feel that loss in the lower RPM range after installing JR SC kit, and hope a lightweight crank pulley would compensate that a bit. Would be interesting to learn from those who had this experience. |

I have the full Perrin setup (LWCP + accessory pulleys) with my Innovate SC. Before adding the SC I already felt a slight improvement in throttle response with the crank pulley. IMO it wasn't worth the cost to add the other pulleys but I guess I just wanted to complete the set.
Now I'm looking into aluminum/CF driveshafts. You'll get more gains for your money with those. |

From what I have read, light weight crank pulley + light weight flywheel = not a good idea.
One side or the other; not both. is what I was told. *If you are considering or have done a light weight flywheel that is.
