PP Sachs suspension vs tS Sachs supspension

Does anyone know the exact differences, if any, between the PP Sachs dampers and springs and the tS Sachs dampers and springs? Just wondering before I start suspension work. Thinking about RCE Yellows at the moment.

Great question! I'm a bit curious myself. I thought that they were the same actually.

Side note: I can tell you I paired the STI Springs with the PP Sachs (JP STI Site gives them a 'Yes' in the compatibility check) and they feel as comfortable as stock but with a 15mm drop. RCE is a great choice but STI parts for me was just a build choice and direction I'm going.

i, too, would like to know where/which STi springs. this sounds like the perfect option for the time being, as long as they arent stupidly overpriced

Sorry I don't have better pics, just pulled these from my phone. Ordered on Japanparts, a little expensive, but wanted the STI part. As far as I know, these are not rebranded like the TRD eibach ones and are the only ones that offer a 15mm drop. There is still a gap and keep in mind, I'm on stock 17x7.5 PP wheels and Michelin HPs.

You can see here that these springs work with the PP Sach dampers by the pull-down of 適応車種記号：E 2016年07月～ and looking under the 'GT' which is equivalent to the US Performance Package equipped with the same dampers. They give it the bubble indicating it's compatible. That was important to me. PM me if you have any questions!

Looks like it is about $330 plus $100 for shipping from Japanparts.

Sounds about right. You'll need the front (2) ST20330AS000 and rear (2) ST20380AS000. Hope this helped if you wanted to go this route!

Also, by tS dampers, I had assumed you were talking about the upcoming tS. I didn't keep in mind that you may have been referring to these which are not Sachs (they are bilsteins) and were equipped on the 2015 tS. Those, I couldn't tell you anything about.

From what I could glean from available information, I don't think there's actually any difference between the PP and the upcoming tS suspension (even the springs are the same).

The 2015 tS bilstein suspension was meant to be a more comfortable street setting after the 2013 tS showa was tuned to be more performance oriented:

Interesting. I have the RCE Yellows and it lowered the car 3/4inch and the ride height is definitely sportier / harder riding. I like it tho it's great on the track.

Nobody is going to know the exact differences until they start building the car. At that time a Subaru dealership's parts department can check if the part numbers are the same.

The Press Releases did say that the car had STI-Tuned Dampers, and STI-Tuned Coil Springs so they aren't branded STI but they may have different settings. From a physical standpoint, nothing looks modified on the tS due to the hideous wheel gap we see from the car being shown at the big Subaru meets. However, the description that Subaru provides says that the suspension/car was tuned at Willow Springs. Could also be marketing hype though.
