Depends on whether or not those badges factored in to the price.

This is my first post here. Should I be concerned that there hasn't been any activity in this thread for several months? Is there a more appropriate place to post newbie questions?
I got my manual Hakone Edition a week ago. It's used, with less than 3000 miles, so it's really just barely broken-in.
I notice when I shut it off that it makes a tremendous racket with all of the ticks and pops of what I assume are heat shields and related hardware cooling down. Is this common with these cars? It there something I should tighten or loosen? Your help will be appreciated.

There are quite a few things I'm going to have to get used to. I can't remember the last car I had that didn't have the three-flash lane change feature on the turn signal. In fact, some cars let you set the number of flashes you prefer. Another odd thing is, as far as I can tell, the car will not automatically lock the doors once you're in motion. I thought all cars did that these days.

A surprisingly fiddly little thing to change, owing to its location, but it takes care of the flasher concern. Expect at least one skinned knuckle and 20-30min of expletives.

I got used to auto lock on my BMW, but my Scion iM never did it. So i manually locked the 86 (the lock buttons are in a much more "instant" location than they were in the bmw or scion) but then it doesnt auto unlock lol.

The three blink thing...my BMW does it, the Scion did it but i didnt use it all that much since many times i found i needed more than 3 blinks to make the change (usualy in more congested traffic and im looking to make sure the space is clear before making the change)

My old honda fit had this feature too...except it wasnt really a feature and all you did was hold the stalk up to right before it clicks and let it go when you make the change.....and you can do exactly the same thing in the 86 lol.

Hey so manual swapping my 2015 frs (base trim) and while I’m in there anyways ripping the interior apart I would like to replace it with a 2017+ 86 premium dash. Can it be done?

I'm pretty sure @thekevinvo has done just that. If you look in his build thread he probably has a video of it!
