It does look better but it's still worse than the current model. It is just "generiic sports car". If you put Nissan badging on it and painted it yellow with a black top, it would pass as a 400Z.

These GR 86 renders are growing on me. Much better looking front end than the BRZ. Hoping for another metallic orange colour option like the gen 1 FRS/86.

I wish they'd show the damn thing already.
I want to know if i would want a WRB 2022 BRZ, a 2022 GR86 or just stick with going for a 18-20 86 GT (Which I'm actively waiting for the right car to pop up on the used car market, and waiting for clearout deals for new ones) |

I was in the same predicament. I put my name down for a manual 2020 BRZ ts in Jan 2021. Then 2 weeks later Subaru (Australia) got back to me saying there's none left and offered to put me on the list for the 2022 BRZ. To which I said yes. It kinda sux cos I really love the look of the ts (pictured) but I know I'll love the improved torque and interior of the'22 model.

In general, official image or fan art, I'm not crazy about it. Very generic looking as in "draw me a modern sports car" and this is what you would get 80% of the time.

it's not an official from Toyota, but pretty much what we can expect it will be after seeing the patent images.
