STI Clutch and Drive Shaft?
I see that STi has a clutch disc and cover for our cars. As well as a drive shaft. They are rather expensive and I tried searching to see if there are any feedbacks on them but couldn't find any. I'm sure like any OEM+ parts, you get relatively little functional upgrade value for top fit and finish. Still, wonder if anyone has these parts and their thoughts on them? Thanks.

I plan to buy the drive shafts, but I'll wait after Corona, as shipping is a mess now...

There is a small delay with the OEM drive shafts and the upgraded ones provide a bit better throttle response. They add to the overall feeling of the car, but there isn't any real performance improvement. Personally, I believe that they don't worth it. There are other cheaper ways to improve the throttle response. Nevertheless, they might be a good upgrade for tuned cars with considerably higher power. There were a few broken shafts and these ones could withstand the increased torque.

Looking at the picture, this "drive shaft" seems to be connected to the wheels right? So it's actually more an axle shaft? As opposed to the drive shaft we normally know that connects from the transmission to the axle. But yea, for what amounts to a "feeling" mod, this one is way up there in price compared to everything else like bushings, bars, tires, etc.

Yes. They are actually axle shafts. STI was lost probably in the translation

They are 2 rear Axles, I have them on since 2018. They give you a more positive feed back & smooth things out a bit, wheel seems to lose traction less. But it's pretty oem+, you not gonna feel much difference.

Ordered mine. I'm curious to know how they feel.
Regarding the STi clutch, it's an Exedy Stage 1. |
