We are sort of hoping that that is the result of the meeting but I strongly doubt it will be.

I tried, but couldn't manage to teach myself to eat in my sleep so had to abandon the idea.

Admittedly it usually goes beyond the break, until I wake up to a flurry of emails dings.

Two things I did not expect to happen:

1) Having brand loyalty to a tire manufacturer.
2) Getting excited because they just started making tires in the correct size for a car I recently bought.

They are about as anti "diverse" a group as you can get and they are setting all new HR policies. There was quite the battle when somebody called them out for this on our last worldwide call with Germany. I am sure there are at least 3 HR people that are out of work now.
Pretty sure the whole point of "diversity" is just excluding just one group and maybe 2 in a pinch.

Anyone remember what I did to the WRX's wheels last fall? Not 0% chance I just did something similar in the BRZ. Another 50 mph back road, no construction signs, and two random chunks cut out of the road with nothing but a knocked over cone next to each.

I was cautious and went over the first one at like 10 mph. That one was properly graded so no lip at all. Figured it was better road construction so I went over the second at about 35. That one had a 90* cuts with at least a 1" increase. Not sure if front wheels are bent or I'm just paranoid and feeling phantom vibration, but guess I'll find out tomorrow. On the plus side, the tires look perfectly fine and I didn't have to use the spare this time.

If the wheels are shot, I'll probably consider getting a full set of 17" wheels as opposed to replacing just the 2 bent 18" ones. Thin sidewalls + PA roads + my stupidity do not seem to mix well.

I have liked the looks of some of the pics of cars on this website with 16" wheels with higher profile tyres.
I'm not suggesting you go 16", it was just an association that came to mind with your post.
