But it's designed by Gordon fucking Murray, you know, the guy behind the McLaren F1 and the Brabham "fan car". Based on this alone, I'll reserve judgment until I give it a go.

It's only a f1 nothing fancy to me, if anything I'd say that thing looks like the old NSX.

I'm very biased but my first thought was that if my MR2 had round taillights, that would be a zoomed in shot of the rear end with a spoiler on it. Please be RWD.

Sorry, was that a crack on the McLaren F1's styling? It looks nothing like an NSX, nor does the T.25. In fact, I fail to see how any parallels can be drawn to the NSX's styling from anything in this thread.

Anyway, my comments were not based on visual styling. I'm saying if anyone can make a "fun to drive" citicar ( if that is even Toyota's announcement), it is a 30+ year veteran formula one design engineer with a history of making world beating supercars.

I'm not seeing it. And anyway, I'm not really talking about styling, but engineering.

So if they're plying the Acronym game like they have been lately
RND could stand for something

R-Rear
N-
D-Drive

what could the N stand for?

any other ideas?

If they took the T25, made it actually look attractive, and made it have speeds similar to a normal car (and not a smart car), it could actually be a really interesting vehicle... a small, light, fun urban RWD vehicle that is an alternative to motorcycles...... could be interesting, but only if they do it right.
