Kraftwerks SC E-TUNER Option

Hi guys, I bought a SC Kraftwerks C30 kit for my Toyota FT 86 2014
It was already installed but unfortunately the chosen tuner moved to another country, I am from Argentina

I am really concerned so I am loocking for a trust worthy tuner in order to go forward with the flash by remote process (e-tuner by Ecutek Phone Flash or ECU Connect)

I found few tuners from USA with long tryectory such as Delicious Tuning, CSG, Boosted Perfomance, etc. but I really would appreciate any reference of any of them or any other tuner you may know with long experience with Kraftwerk or Jackson Racing SC kit (Rotrex)

Support information
Toyota FT 86 MT (2014)
Kraftwerks SC Kit, Rotrex C30-94 w/small pulley (90mm)
Overpipe Tomei | Header EL Skunk2 | Front pipe and cat back 2,5" (not CAT)
Engine stock internals

I highly vouch for Zach Tucker from CSG for remote tuning. Great guy, and very knowledgeable on the platform for different tunes. Majority every here on the forum go with CSG for tuning

No problem! I worked with Zach previously on tuning and retuning. Everything was smooth and got the power I needed. Feel free to ask questions for him and what is best for your needs whether it is power or reliability. I advise you to follow his instructions + advice since he has years of experience and has seen the best/worst on the BRZ/FRS/GR86 platform.

Also, since you've added F/I. I would add an oil cooler since it raises oil temps quickly and switch your oil to 0W-30 or 5W-30 depending on the region's weather conditions on hot days. Support modification (Clutch, Oil Catch Can, Cooling, etc.) is needed especially the certain of power you need.

Thanks again! Do you know if Zach is working in CGS at the day? On the other hand, in order to understand exactly what I need to go for remote tuning, first is the Ecutek Bluetooth and second the Phone Flash License, is correct? after that only is necessary pay for the e.tuning flash service, donīt you?
I am confused if is necessary to pay for anather Ecutek license

Monday-Friday 11am-6pm PST , so your timezone is about 4 hours ahead in Argentina. It depends on Zach since he's a busy guy working at CSG and other clients. But, you should receive an email later on with a .bin file to flash the ECU after you purchase the remote tuning. You will work with him directly back and forth until the process is done. Depending on your schedule, it'll take 3-7 business days on your remote tune. But, if you need it fast, you must pay the fast service fee.

Contact them directly to get more information before placing your order.

Yes, that is correct if you purchased these 2 items already then you're 100% good to go with the E.tuning Service. You should receive an EcuTek Dongle ID from the license you bought to input into the custom-tuning list requirements

Excellent and precise!!!, yesterday I sent an email to CSG to info@...... asking about service details and Ecutek hard needs

So, if I decide to go forward with the tuning by phone flash I pay for Phone Flash license in order to access to the car ECU and is not necessary to pay for another Ecutek licence, is it correct?

Otherwise if I decide to go forward with the tuning by Ecu connect (with laptop by usb cable or BT) I will need to pay for a Ecu Licence and key pass to access to the car ECU, is it correct?

Phone flash is an extra charge for the service but is separate from your license.

You need to buy one license(Flash points), and the Bluetooth kit. Dongle is still required to pair with the phone to flash the ecu. Speak with CSG or whomever about what works best for you. I did a NA tune with them and used my laptop to flash.

I didn't go with the phone route since it was fairly new in the early days when it started. My apologies, by looking carefully at those 2 items and further research, you must pay for the license since the license doesn't come with the "Phone Flash" as it is a "registration" to unlock to use the app to flash your ECU. Below is their reference page for the "Smartphone Tuning" buyer's guide.

https://www.counterspacegarage.com/b...-toyota-supra/

Smartphone-based Tuning and Data-Logging requirements:
  • EcuTek License
  • EcuTek PhoneFlash License
  • EcuTek Bluetooth Vehicle Interface

If you were to go with the smartphone route, these are the 3 items to purchase for the E.Tuning. I would suggest the Laptop route since it's $52 cheaper and comes with EcuTek License and Dongle Cable, Bluetooth Type Kit for $698. After purchasing the Ecutek items and required the license, you need to buy their tune.
