Just need to tighten the ball joint by twisting the slot in the back with a coin or slotted screwdriver. Worked like a charm on mine.

anyone get this yet? which phone? this might work for my iphone4 - but it doesn't look like it comes with any type of cradle/plug. do you have to mount something separate to that flat plastic piece? |

That's what's nice about proclip, you get a mount designed specifically for your car, but if you change phones later you just have to buy the other mount not replace the entire thing.

Bought one, didn't care for it. It got in the way of using the radio in the FR-S, works OK in my Suburban though, well until I broke it trying to adjust it (my fault, not Mountek's)

How did you break it? Mine has worked great for me but may have to swap for the Proclip if I decide to change out my head unit.
Question for Proclip users. Can it be mounted and will it be sturdy without using the adhesive? |

I got the mountek thing that goes in the CD slot (I use my phone for nav and bluetooth streaming. Similar to the guy about halfway down this thread:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18046 So sick of the suction cups falling off eventually (sub zero temps in winter) and it doesn't block anything I use on the radio. Cycle tracks etc all work fine. |

I love the mountek holder and would'nt even consider anything else if it wasn't for the possibilty that I might be changing out my stock hu. I love the way it enables you to attach/remove your phone effortlessly with one hand.

OGood stuff. Another question for you, the way the proclip mounts to the dash looks a little scary as I have zero experience with their products. Would it be possible to damage the dash at all if you removed and reattached the mount multiple times?

Im sure its "possible" lol. But no, as long as u intentionally remove it, knowing how u put it on, u cant damage anything.

Just wanted to update, I went with the iOttie flex 2 car mount. It fits everything from an iphone 4 to a galaxy s3 (not sure about the note 2). The suction is ridiculously strong on this; strong enough to hold a bowling ball up. At first I didn't like it since I wanted something that could fit in that cubby but after analyzing the situation, if my phone was there it would look really cluttered. I ended up mounting it as shown.
