running a bit rich 50 to 80 MAF, 3 to 3.3 Volt area, and lean 80 to 120 MAF, thats the 3.71 to 4 V MAF region, then rich again after 120 MAF, at >4 Volt area; opposite of my logs, so maybe a 1.25% adjustment in each area can help?

Having issues with knocking on part throttle running the OFT e85 V4.01 tune. Full throttle seems to have no issues but around half throttle in mid RPM I am having some decent knock that caused my IAM to drop. Anyone seen this before?

Hey guys, did my first stage 1 tune today. Been reading about how to read the data logging and here's my datalog:
https://datazap.me/u/kpally/normahar...og=0&data=1-13 So right off the bat, I'm noticing that my LTFT is actually dropping pretty low...to like -17.9. I heard that it's supposed to be greater than -10 but less than 10 if I'm not mistaken. Is this because I've just recently tuned the car or is something up (I've read that maybe I should take it a little easy and let the car learn the fuel trims for closed loop)? Knock corr. is at 0, which I believe is good. FLKC goes up a little at high RPM's is what it looks like...same question as LTFT. I'm still learning how to interpret these data logs, so if someone can check mine out/give me some advice, I'd really appreciate that. Thanks in advance! Just started learning about reading these data logs so I'm not an expert, but looks good to me! LTFT and STFT are within the safe levels I believe. IAM is 1 which is good, knock corr and flkc are good. I've read that these engines get some knock so I don't think you'd have to worry about the flkc having that one little outlier. I'm also not an expert, so if someone can take a look at his and confirm that'd be great! |

still learning
i am still learning, but looks like you are running lean >3 V in OL and rich below 3 V at closed loop, that could be the cause of your LTFT?

Noob looking for a little guidance
Very new to oft and tuning, been reading and watching all i can from the forums but still trying to wrap my head around things. Grabbed a log and just want to know if this looks alright. Fuel trims seem ok i think but not confident enough
![]() Im running ots 4.03 stg 1 on a 2017 86, waiting for UEL headers to arrive. Only mods are blitz panel filter and cat back exhaust. https://datazap.me/u/mitsurugi78/log...6?log=0&data=1 couple more runs i was able to capture this evening, I believe I'm running a tad lean...but again not fully sure and would like some help in reading the logs. https://datazap.me/u/mitsurugi78/stg...gp4gp2500-7000 https://datazap.me/u/mitsurugi78/stg1ots403932x3gp6500 Thanks in advance to the many awesome forum members! Sanity check on my adventures in OFT
like many of you here, i am adventuring in tuning using this guide
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=94822 i am running catted JDL UEL with ARK catback + JDL UQFP. so i started with OTS 4.0 Stage 2 with wayno tweaks using Stage 1 MAF scale. i think this is the closest MAF scale, maybe, but i see 1.5 to -0.78 LTFT and +0.5 to 1 AFR @2 V and +2 LTFT >3 V MAF, that require a few adjustments https://datazap.me/u/neilvosko/log-1...zoom=1290-1433 https://datazap.me/u/neilvosko/log-1...oom=9689-10394 https://datazap.me/u/neilvosko/log-1...zoom=8983-9689 https://datazap.me/u/neilvosko/log-1...zoom=8277-8983 https://datazap.me/u/neilvosko/log-1...zoom=5604-6305 so then i flashed wayno smoothed MAF2 scales below 3 V, which are leaner than stage 1 to see what happens and no i was running Lean @ 1.7, 2.2, 3, 3.7 Rich at 3.2, 3.4 V, 4.06 BUT, now my LTFT are on the positive 2-6...so this means i am running TOO LEAN and ECU is adding more fuel ? https://datazap.me/u/neilvosko/log-1...-8&zoom=88-181 https://datazap.me/u/neilvosko/log-1...8&zoom=366-459 https://datazap.me/u/neilvosko/log-1...8&zoom=459-553 https://datazap.me/u/neilvosko/log-1...8&zoom=553-646 https://datazap.me/u/neilvosko/log-1...8&zoom=758-852 https://datazap.me/u/neilvosko/log-1...zoom=1262-1356 https://datazap.me/u/neilvosko/log-1...zoom=1412-1505 https://datazap.me/u/neilvosko/log-1...zoom=1990-2084 https://datazap.me/u/neilvosko/log-1...zoom=6475-6569 so i was thinking i need to add more fuel below 3 V and fine tune a few points >3 V.... so i averaged MAF scales between 1 & 2, so its the average of Stage 1 & 2...and Edits (2.97 more rich and leaded out 3.2-, 3.4- Volts). LTFT are still close to 5 at times. https://datazap.me/u/neilvosko/log-1...-8&zoom=81-282 https://datazap.me/u/neilvosko/log-1...zoom=3543-3798 https://datazap.me/u/neilvosko/log-1...zoom=3085-3175 https://datazap.me/u/neilvosko/log-1...zoom=3229-3319 https://datazap.me/u/neilvosko/log-1...zoom=3521-3653 https://datazap.me/u/neilvosko/log-1...zoom=3653-3785 So Now i am thinking i should I go back to Stage 1 MAF scales and fine tune 3+ V Please help!!!! |

looks pretty good, you can lean out the 3.2 V 1.5% or so, otherwise pretty good

Hey guys! Im new to this. I've been running some old stage 2 uel header of the shelf tune for some time now, and I just decided to log some. I really have no clue what to look for, but I plan to learn some this summer.
Anyways, here is a log from som back roads yestersday, https://datazap.me/u/frozlol/logbrz?log=0&data=1 is it running ok? Or are there any big hazards that I should be looking for? Thinking about swapping the tune for a new v4 tune, if they are any stable for EU-cars nowadays that is.. Is there any TL;DR; version of what I should look for in the logs? I mean plain basics like "AFR should be between 14 and 15 otherwise it's running like crap"? Please point me in the right direction! |

Help on the tune
Hiya Tuners need some advice here
Did a few logs today on Tactrix: Slight Traffic and cruising lead to drop in IAM (From 0.98 to 0.8) after multiple FLKC events detected: https://datazap.me/u/kuno/stg2-ace-9...zoom=6737-8376 Did a few pull to raise the IAM back to 0.95: https://datazap.me/u/kuno/stg2-ace-9...om=10217-13506 Crusing the way back with several traffic and red light pulls the IAM would slightly drop again https://datazap.me/u/kuno/stg2-ace-9...om=10467-15459 Not fully sure why the FLKC kept on appearing during normal driving (Not WOT) and drop the IAM as a result. It doesnt always triggered under heavy Load as well. The car is on ace header 150 with everything else stock. I will try and change to different pump gas to see if the FLKC would still be there. Any insights would be much appreciated ![]() |

ACE headers fit are fairly experimental for stupid price they demand. The first thing i'd do is take the skid plate off and see if it's been rubbing and if any audible noise goes away. I can tell you it's fucking shit when your $300 ceramic coat goes down the toilet because the fit of your $1600 header sucks worse than one half the price. I wouldn't run Caltex either, but if you want to, then just take timing out of the problem cells.
