@pcuerpo, still using the stock exhaust.
Now I'm enjoying how the 86 responded in terms of power, very responsive, though need to resolve torque dip at 3~4K rpm. Will continue to read on options and learn from gurus to decide on best mod for the issues.
Will do some experiments like returning the stock front pipe and will see the response.


BTW, do you know expert on Tuning 86 like ECUTec or OFT here in the Phils. Had already an inquiry with Speedworks and now looking for other type of tuning.

@ride_gt86, cant go wrong with the boys of Speedworks, dali kausap ng mga yan lalo na si Leo kaya i ended up with them as my tuner.. i think majority of the 86/BRZ owners were tuned by them so that means one thing.. one thing also is that they have (or used to have) an 86

but if you still like to check other tunes, you can get in touch with Mark Bata, i think he uses Ecutek na ren pero before when i talked to him, he was still using brzEdit.. the others i've heard, hindi ko na kilala hehe

re: torque dip.. i think its very hard to remove that.. but having your car tuned minimizes the dip

Actually, had mine from Makati and took 8months waiting.


Latest mail is actually for a friend of mine, reserved at Toyota Calamba since April and upto now, still no unit and still waiting. Since reservations are refundable, he made several from Toyota Makati/Alabang, Subaru Alabang /Sta. Rosa, and also Ford for Mustang.


Hoping that he can drive one in the future.

i reserved in toyota alabang last april also. the agent told me it will arrived on the 1st week or 2nd week of october. i dont know if that is true. did your agent told you when will it arrived? thanks =)

No clear sched given by all of them, Toyota says still no unit, Subaru provided status of slot and forecast of the units that will arrive monthly, Ford Mustang from time to time offers available unit unfortunately my friend didn't like it.
One observation, they prefer/favor either in-house or bank financing, so don't tell them that you will get it in cash.

finally my unit arrived! orange color!. it took 6 months thru bank financing. and also it was named 2018 model. i saw it in the paper.

@alltimel0w, wala ren actually yung 2012-2016 models.. we just put a relay, you can either order it sa casa for around 900 or 1k or visit Autokozmetix in Ortigas Home Depot, 200-300 lang ata sa kanila.. sa kanila ako nagpalagay before.. contact mo lang din muna if they have just to be sure

ay ganon pala sir. thank you so much sir. try ko po tumawag sa toyota. sana ganon din po yung sa new model baka po kasi sakaling iba e.akala ko may DR talga old model kasi lahat ng nakikita ko nakabukas sya haha.

Please check page 173 of the manual. Me myself haven't seen this if it works.
