I suppose I could have actually tried... listening to it... but I have a personal rule about listening to j-pop (k-pop too now, I guess). That rule is: try to avoid doing so at all cost.

But Korean pop-culture always messes with me. They copy Japan's in about the same time that I can visually identify the rapidly changing Japanese fashion/style. So when I see people that I think are dressed like Japanese, they are usually Korean, because I'm behind already...

Scandal is tolerable because of the rock sound.

Koreans and Japanese have a veryy different fashion Styles. xD Its hard to tell if you haven't been around most of your life but its reallly reallly different.

It seems to me that there is a gap time-wise, and that Korean girls are waaaaaaay more concerned about their looks.

YES THEY ARE!! Lol. Chinese girls take the win for their looks more than any other Asian Race IMHO.

Then again all girls are concerned with their look. With an exception of a handful.

I do some language exchange with Japanese students and the occasional Korean student. All the Korean girls talk about how important it is to look good to get a good job. And how soon they will get their eyes cut up (cosmetic surgery), like it's the most natural thing in the world (shudder...).

And yea I read 70% of Korean girls get plastic surgery of some sort. (probably why K-drama actors are so good looking)

Only reason why its super popular in Korea is well.. everyone wants to be accepted. The concept of "You're beautiful the way you are" is extremely hard for them. Everyone looks down on the plastic surgery but I don't think people understand how hard it is for those who are different to be accepted.

I likes me some Prog Rock / Metal. Dream Theater, Symphony X, Rhapsody, and especially Queensryche are high on my favorites list. At the moment though,...
