Will 2018 Subaru Imprezza 16 inch wheels fit normal 86 (no big brakes)?
Looking at some wheels and a local seller is selling a set of Imprezza wheels. Spec is 16x6.5 ET 55. Tire is 205 55 R16. I did a comparison here.
https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?whe...cl=50mm&sr=0mm It seems that the biggest concern is that wheel will be 7mm closer to hub and there might not be enough room for brake caliper. A minor issue is that scrub radius will be -8mm. Is this going to affect the car's handling much? If I add a 7mm (or 10mm spacer), will there be enough lug bolts left for the lug nuts to work properly? Any 10mm spacers to recommend? Appologize for so many questions. Thanks in advance! I did some search and find this thread
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22918 Here it is said that 16x6.5 ET53 can be bolted on directly. Not sure whether the addition 2mm offset going to change anything. The wheels I am looking at are just like these: https://www.detroitwheelandtire.com/...845-sss-a.html 5x100, offset 55, 16x6.5, center bore 56.1 |

Well, I dug harder and came across this thread
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56662 It seems they should work. But does the fitment is decided ONLY by 16x6.5 ET55? Is there any possibility that this specific wheel won't fit? Also I don't like the fact that the wheel will move inside by 7mm each side. Is it a good idea to add 3mm spacers to bring them out a bit? |

Toybaru comes with 16-inch (16x6.5) wheels and 205/55-16 tyres as standard in many countries. The Impreza wheels should fit unless big brakes are installed.
