The trolls aren't here because you didn't post in the general section lol.

One thing I'm thinking about getting is a pair of driving shoes...I assume they have a very thin sole so you're able to get fairly precise movements with your pedals. The other mod which may help is an OFT, I know you get a better idle unsure if it improves throttle response or not, I would assume so(haven't done enough research).

A good tune can make a huge difference.

When I first got my car back after many mods, it was VERY hard to start off in 1st, falling on it's face easily, and very easily stalled.

After tweaking the tune, making the response better off of idle, the car now starts off in 1st like it's supposed to.

I installed the 3/4" slave cylinder tonight. I cannot emphasize enough that this is EXACTLY what the clutch needed. I didn't even remove the assist spring. It is perfect. All the feel is there. The force required to push is barely increased and the throw between touch and full engagement is perfect.

Honestly, I can't help but think WTF? It's so obvious. Did no one try this in development?

Fair warning. Adjust your clutch as low as possible or maybe even too low before you swap out the cylinder. I don't know if it's possible to damage the pressure plate by retracting it too far but it's worth considering.

awesome, I got the clutch adjusted with spring removed, and am definitely interested in this. any chance we could get a link to where it was bought? would any toyota/subaru 3/4" slave cylinder work?

Here's the one I used.
http://parts.subaru.com/p/Subaru_200...0620AA111.html

I walked into the auto parts store on a fact-finding mission but when I saw how close it looked and how inexpensive it was I just took it.

There's a slight issue with the guide for the banjo fitting. I will have to cut off one of the bosses so the fitting can be aligned at 45° like the OEM cylinder. The hose is a little too tight now considering how much the engine rocks in the mounts. Minor shit.
