Like that cast metal grinding attachment...didnt know they were out there. We have one for our KitchenAid, but its plastic except for the blade and a few other parts. We do make killer bratwurst and breakfast sausage with it. Still trying to come up with the perfect blend for burgers... short ribs plus sirloin plus...?
We found a great deal on all the pasta attachments a while ago...roller, various cutters, extruder, ravioli maker....for those who appreciate homemade pasta, they are definitely woth the investment. Work great, and cut down the time involved by 75%.

I enjoy going to cafes; it isn't so much the coffee (which I do enjoy) but the walk there, the people watching, the reading.
So with cafes only doing take away coffees wife and I decided to get a coffee maker. Being price conscious we decided against a coffee machine and bought an on-top-of-stove percolator thingy. I'm thinking electricity use will probably eat into cost saving but *shrug*. Initial coffee tastings are better than expected even if I can't make an espresso.

So my life is pretty damn normal right now. Is that strange?
No cars in about half the parking lots, but there are still people outside walking or driving places, and other than some empty paper shelves and takeout-only restaurants everything is fine. Ironically my company just got their local office set up in time for everyone to start WFH, so I already was doing that. Only real annoyance for me is they shut down house showings in PA and there's a decent shot of the housing market collapsing if everything else goes to shit. Also a little worried about some rather high-risk family members in NYC and elsewhere I guess. |
