I noticed mine when looking in the engine bay. I don't think i noticed a performance difference but it was still mostly opening and closing.

Where did you mount the external sensor?

that's the IAT sensor in the picture, mounted on the map plate. I didn't end up using it though as it didn't appear to be helpful for my tuners.

Start the car and move it or have someone else push the gas pedal so you can watch the level move open to close. If it's not opening and closing like it used to before swapping then you'll need to adjust the position a little.
mine must still be off just a hair as it will occasionaly snag/get caught. I'll have to do a little more adjusting tonight. Yay.

why wasn't it helpful to the tuner? I've been debating throwing a temp sensor in there to use.

Hell, just so I know what temps are making it into the engine would be cool (granted, it's not after the IC but still)

A ScanguageII will give you 80% of the reading you need. That's what I run as you can see in my build thread. The other 20% would be oil pressure and post charge temperature.

Yep, that's the issue i ran into. Perhaps @moto-mike can elaborate if he remembers, but it was a while back, now.

In that particular way you had it mounted it was reading the temperature of the aluminum rather than the actual air that was flowing, the open element of the sensor needs to be in the direct path of the airflow.

We can blame that one on toni. Hadn't thought about that dude in a while.

Thank you so much for posting this. I have the exact same problem and will contact Sprintex. I noticed the problem at my last track event and have been driving the car with slow throttle inputs ever since.

About how much was the replacement?

I want to say it was $79? Overnight shipping was 35ish. Just give them a call rather than emailing though.

Ordered Moto East Flex Fuel kit today! Getting excited now that I've located 2 seemingly-hidden stations nearby with E85.

Going to run stock injectors initially to get an idea of where things stand, but expecting to upgrade injectors. Figure i'll change one thing at a time, instead of 2 things at once.
