We haven’t had any issues with them. It has completely changed the feel of the car. All for the better. We just try not to take too sharp of turns when it can be helped.

Yeah I wish our cars could QUITE fit 215/65R16's but yeah that looks marvelous.

Can finally post to this thread - I don't plan on keeping this setup but I'm really liking how this looks. Some iPhone pics from when I had them installed.

Sorry - realized I failed to list the specs!

These are stock GB5 Legacy GTB wheels in 16x6.5+55 with 25mm spacers. 205/55R16 Bridgestone RE003s are mounted.

I'm really digging this look, but am not looking forward to having to clean brake dust out of those spokes. The conservative fitment is also exactly what I was looking for, but I'm not too keen on running 25mm spacers long term. S Will see how it goes. If I love my next set up this much then hopefully these will find a new home.

So that's effectively a 16-6.5 +30ET. Very nice fitment, and a perfect size for the 205/55. If you eventually move up to a 225/50, a 7" rim is all you need.

Since you're all running 16's on your cars, maybe you can advise me on something?

I've been looking to get a set of 205/55/r16 for the winter - and budget-wise, am looking at used wheels.

Found someone selling pretty new winter tires 215/55/r16. He's not sure about the width, though. They did come off of a Subaru, but not a BRZ.

Would such wheels for sure fit with thinner 205 tires, a few seasons down the line?

I've been searching online, but I'm pretty new to everything about wheels.

I'm running Impreza STi Version 6 wheels on my BRZ 16x6.5 wrapped in winter rubber 225/55R16. They originally came stock with 205/50R16.

The 205/55R16 should fit no problem on those wheels.

Do you have pics of the wheels?

205/55R16 and 215/55R16 should fit on them just fine. Both section widths tend to have a max rim width of 7.5", and a 205 will fit well on the lower end of a 215's rim width range (~6", that's fuel economy sizing territory these days).

Since I like throwing my hunches out there, my bet is the rims are 6.5" width since that's a common OEM sizing. IIRC the stock 16" BRZ rims (International markets only) are 6.5" wide and shared with a bunch of their other lower-spec models.

215/55/16 have a wheel width range of 6" to 7.5".

205/55/16 have a wheel width range of 5.5" to 7.5".

So based on that, you should be fine. Most 16" wheels with a 5x100 bolt pattern usually have a width of 6.5" or 7".

The size of the wheel might be stamped on the inside of the wheel if they can check.

Thanks for all of your replies! I'm attaching a photo - they aren't stock Subaru wheels, they were just on one before (so I know the 5x100 pattern is accurate). He says they're "ASA JH3 Revolution" wheels.

If they can flip a wheel over and look at any engravings on the back of the spokes, most wheels should have the size and offset stamped.
