Rubber Floor Mats
Picking up by '17 BRZ on Friday! I know the car comes with standard mats, and there are a variety of rubber mats on the market. Ive always had rubber all season mats because they are a life saver when it comes to protection and cleaning the car.
Before I buy a set, front and back, I would love to hear feedback from what you guys have. There are a variety on the market. How do you like the material, easy to clean, and durrability. Thanks ahead of time! Cheers!

I bought the weathertech floor mats. The fit is pretty much perfect and it's what I expected out of rubber mats. They seem pretty durable and easy to clean. I haven't really made a mess out of my car yet so someone who has might be able to answer better.

I bought the Aries fitted floor mats on ebay. I've had the weathertech, but they fall down on the sides. These Aries are very very good, and they're cheaper than the weathertech.

On the weathertech, does the mat going up the footrest bother you? In pictures it looks like it might be a pain. Im also worried with the weathertech that my feet would slide around. Weathertech also is only the front mats with no back mats right?

I have the weather tech bucket style mats too. Can confirm that debre still falls down the sides mostly near the pedals and where the locking holes are. They work well and feel great otherwise, but it looks like the Aries gives better coverage just from looking at the picture. It's also less than half the price of the weather techs |

When dry, there is good grip and I've never had my feet slide around. When it's wet it squeaks if you drag your feet around, but it still doesn't slip. I have the weathertech back mats too and it's been worth it so far. I was skeptical at first considering how rare I have more than one passenger, but someone accidentally spilled coffee on it when getting stuff out of the back so it was worth it in the end. |

Umm....I'm an old guy - I will try to do a linky thingy, but, really - all you have to do is go to ebay and search for floor mats for Scion FRS and the weathertech and the aries will come up. OK, I'm trying to figure out the link deal, and I'm sorry, but I don't know how. Please forgive me. I added pictures - I hope this works...No it doesn't - somehow I have to resize them and I don't know how. Sorry....

Thank you guys for all the help! I'm skeptical on the Weathertech since they are so expensive and debris still finds a way around it.
I tried to look up a set on the Subaru site but they dont make any. I did see there are FRS rubber mats but I like keeping it all uniform with Subaru. Ill be sure to look into the Aries

3d Maxpider mats. I usually only get OEM but these are like $80 shipped for just the front 2 (getting rear mats is pointless IMO)
They aren't rubber but they have a firm carpet texture and are super easy to clean. They come with a stupid chrome logo but I just removed those with a knife and now they look really good. |

This is my 4th year with my Weathertechs and I'm very happy with them. They fit like a glove and keep the carpet very clean in winter (I live in CT). That being said, I use the standard carpeted mats from Spring to Fall, because I think the fabric feels much better under foot, and resists sliding (your feet will slide around a bit on the Weathertechs, especially when wet).

Another kind forum member told me how to link. Here's a link to the Aries floor liners that I bought for my FRS.
https://www.carid.com/aries-automoti...6j0aAiIL8P8HAQ I bought them on ebay - but at least you can see the quality. Thanks to venturaII for helping me. |
