If they don’t know how long it takes to install the kit, they’ve likely never done it before or haven’t done it for a long time. I’d try to find someone else before I let someone with little experience do the install and tune at a premium price.

I accepted the offer. They dropped it $300 when they realized I already had an ecutek license and didn't need flash points..

I trust them, so it's worth the premium I suppose

I already committed to them..because of Covid, I haven't had a chance to make local car friends. Would have gladly paid someone $800 to help me turn wrenches for 8-10 hrs in their garage.

Wait what? When did this happen? What happened? Yikes. I'm sorry to hear that.

Why would an UEL header affect the tune? Or the supercharger for that matter? Just wondering

Not exactly sure. Since my header is catless, therefore less restrictive, I imagine they can increase the air/fuel mixture (guessing).

I know it affects the tune because when I went through Delicious Tuning a stage 1 tune was all stock and stage 2 involved an aftermarket header.

Maybe someone else can explain better? An aftermarket header also helps level out the torque dip we see, too.

My Edelbrock uninstall was $950 through a reputable shop.. that is Bay Area labor as well... I would really try to find another shop, they are charging you too much.
