MC definitely easier. Maybe Google will tell you how to diagnose MC leak

As far as I know the only way the clutch could cause this is if fingers on the pressure plate broke off, or the tob failed both of which you would hear. Clutch failure usually manifests in slipping not gear engagement failure.

You can also pickup a second hand master cylinder for less than $50 and replace it in under an hour.

Hallmark sign of internally failing MC is no loss of fluid and difficult or impossible shifting.

thats what I am hoping for. I took it out, deep cleaned it and refilled. and still nothing.

If there was a leak inside of it or its just broken or whatever, would my clutch pedal feel normal? My pedal feels/felt normal

I think if you push it in and hold it in, then release, it will stay down of MC is bad. Because there won't be any pressure from the clutch to force it back

The assist spring sends it back up.

The spring wants to be in its neutral position, without the mechanical leverage of your foot holding it down it will come back to center.

You also have to consider that the master cylinder has not completely failed its still retaining some pressure. As noted by him saying that he can see the fork moving. It's just not moving enough.

No. It's an over-center mechanism, like a traditional light switch.

Even if the pedal is mushy, with a shitty cylinder on either end, you should still be able to give it a quick pre-pump just like with a failing brake master.

I vote for sticky pressure plate on the input shaft splines, or some other B.S. under the bell housing.

okay thank you everybody for all the insight. I am going to have a shop do the work this time around (pain in the ass first time). IF it is the clutch that needs a complete replacement, does anybody have good recommendations that will work fine with the SBD turbo? my current clutch is "competition stage 2" and i will stay away from this brand due to the early failure of this clutch.

not sure yet. its still sitting dead in the drive way. I actually last week replaced the master cylinder and that didnt fix it :/ so its most likely a clutch problem.

Im still researching what clutch to get.... so many damn mixed reviews about everything that is making it hard to decide. but I gotta take advantage of this black friday weekend sale lol
