I figure it's also because there's a 6-speed manual offered in the Z which the Supra does not (yet) have. The Z35 IIRC also has a few more ponies over the Supra.

Plus, in my opinion, though far from perfect, the Z still looks far better than the Supra.

Yeah, the poll was not in my original thread. It was in VH_Supra26's thread and moved here when the threads were merged. There is no "neither" choice so if I have to chose one then I would still go with the Z over the Supra. I like its simpler styling better than the exaggerated and non functional styling of the Supra but I am not in love with either of them.

i never voted because i don't care for either. i'm not entirely convinced that nissan could make a driver-centric car ever anymore, and the supra fulfills a need/desire i don't have.

I think a lot of it has to do with most of the posters on here just being fans of sports oriented RWD JDM coupes in general (preferably lightweight). In the past the wide variety of cars available that fit that description allowed us to split up into different manufacturer camps. Sadly over the last 15 years it has more or less consolidated us all into one group.

My thoughts at least.

For me, it's the door vents on the Supra and the lack of fake vents on the Z.

It’s my hope it’s significantly cheaper than a Supra.

The poll is also almost meaningless since it gives only two options.

Would you rather be shot in the heart or have your throat slashed? Pick only one.

Like politics, there is a 3rd choice. But it's so low that its pretty much insignificant. Just pick the lesser of two evils :p
