At least the stance kids weren't hurting anyone but their wallets.
And any speed bumps that they happened across...

People: Drive the car after you get it and decide what you want to do! Deciding before you've driven it is stupid.

Many of the same people: You want the car to pop and bang? Hey guys, look at this moron over here! Grow up, kid!

If I knew how to get the effect you're after I'd tell you. Unfortunately I'm a lamewad who really digs the car stock. That said if it was just a toy to me I'd be tempted to do ghost cams.

Come at me, bros.

my stock everything will sometimes crackle when i'm really laying into it. it's nice. but the cars that snap crackle and pop every time they let off the gas for even a second are just attention whores.

The problem with mods like this is they call more unwanted attention to ALL modified cars. Want stricter sound laws and expanding smog registration? This is how you get it. It's like all the diesel bros who purposely over fuel to get their trucks to soot. Then cry when the state expands emissions testing into their area.

If you go YouTube magnus walker and his old video of his 911 turbo through LA you will here a pretty cool pop bang noise from that car that is natural and not from a tune, happens during shifting. This is ok, but to take a regular car and make that is absurd. There is some young idiot with a BMW 3 series that goes down my block about 3 times a week. As he slows to stop going about 8mph, the thing pops and bangs like crazy. It makes no sense going that slow.

Probably because of off throttle fuel cut. My LS swap crackles pretty good off throttle. I believe it's caused by the mix entering the cylinder is too lean too fire but ignites in the exhaust. Not certain though. I know it can be tuned out but I don't see a reason to

i live in Canada we don't have yearly emissions testing anymore so that wouldn't happen/be an issue here, and imo the big issue with unwanted attention are the big "take overs" that happen every weekend at least in my area/Ontario

i mean excessive stance costs a lot and is extremely unsafe, you cant turn your cars go over a 2 inch bump or higher and have a high chance of randomly de beading your tires, to each there own but id argue and say thats a lot worse then having an optional pop and bang tune on your car that you can turn on and off lol

Especially if such tune informs with audio cues about drivers mental age. Helps predicting their behavior on the road aswell as what to expect them as neighbors. So it's safety measure?

There are 3 guys (two low end BMWs and a BRZ) with pop and bang tunes living a few blocks from me that pass by my house at all times of day. Driving through a residential area they are constantly WOT, down shift, WOT, downshift, WOT downshift just to make noise. I can hear them doing it for blocks.
Not a "take over" but at this point in time I would PAY the cops to come and sit near my house for a few hours.
Makes the rest of us look bad!

I can say as someone with the Stage 2 tune by Delicious tuning with the pops and bangs added feature. I used it once or twice and got a video of it shooting flames and then have not used it since. dont really like it. the car drives jerky cause of all the fuel getting dumped i assume.

That, and having your timing swing so much on tip in is just asking for the car to run like trash
