Smile Ecutek Overrun, Retard ign, flames.

Hi guys as the thread title describes.

Hey on my way home tonight from work I’ve been thinking, if I have overrun raised to 5500 and I’ve retarded the idle ignition timing above the speed threshold in gear, while on decel and off throttle it doesn’t pop, isn’t that what overrun is suppose to be? I’ve gotta feather it to pop but isn’t that suppose to be for an example like base timing b ignition map?

Seems to me you can’t just raise the overrun fuel, ignition has gotta be retarded on decel for pops without having the feather it because that’s what overrun is?

It’s correct that Yeah your always going to need ignition retard for pops.

But for what map that works with overrun so there is no need for feathering

I can google and stuff but won’t be exact search results I’ll need for example ecutek techniques for fuelling overrun with retard ignition working together for pops, crackles, bangs and who knows flames... dependent on exhaust and engine setups.

This thread may be the bees and knees for people who have ecutek racerom upgrade who would like a little more crackle pop bang in there tune safely.

Cheers.

Either follow this example. or you can use the pedal minimum in a custom map to do the feathering for you but it needs some configuring.
