Not without some improvisation I guess. lol Even without the bag, my drivers wouldn't fit. I'm 5' 10", so I suspect they're average size. Laying the seats down and turning the bag, then putting the seats back up may work, as the other guy said... I'll give it a shot in a sec...

Update: Success. The bag(and drivers) fit easily after laying the seats temporarily.

1 Full size Think tank camera bag
One swiss army backback fully loaded
2 medium sized lightstands
1 Tripod
2 Elinchrom 27 octoboxes.

With the seats up and space to spare! So for me i can actually use this car for work no problem.

I agree that the trunk is roomy for this kind of car, but ther is no way the FRS trunk with seats folded down holds more than my corolla or any other reg sedan I've been in with back seats folded down.
Yes, seats folded down in the old 96 Accord. The seats folded in that car in a stupid manner, plus the opening between trunk <-> back seat was too small. The FRS is superior due to the wider opening, even though the accord was marginally longer. (if you have ever been in the backseat of an older accord you know its not exactly roomy for normal adults, was designed for japanese adults or american children.)

Well, I had an opportunity to test it this weekend as I was taking my son up to the NC mountains for his summer job. Turns out you can get (with the back seat folded down):

2 full size suitcases including stuffed side pockets
1 Pillow
1 carry-on size suitcase
1 backback
2 Saxophone cases
2 regular adult size folks without having to move the seats.

None of it had to be stacked about the bottom of the back glass so there was no issues with the view out the back. Honestly, I didn't think it was going to fit when he first brought it all outside. This is WAY more than we would ever have gotten in our '05 Mustang convertible, and actually is the same or more than would have fit behind the back seat in our Chevy Astro.

I was honestly impressed. I see no issue with using the FR-S for two, packing for a week.

So, what have you stuck in the back of your FR-S/BRZ?
I work for a major airline...you sure you don't work for one too? Awesome job!!!

The '02 Accords isn't much better (my college aged son drives one). I don't quite understand the reasoning for the small hole between the back seat and the trunk, definitely looks like an afterthought It's just wide enough to slip a digital piano in but it would be so much better if it were closer to full width.

Halloween/Zombie Prepping

Dadhawk, here's another "Junk in the Trunk" photo for the thread. Picked up four pumpkins for Halloween festivities and 12 gallons of water for my zombie prepping stash (3 gal jugs fit perfectly)! Happy Halloween to you and Momhawk and the rest of your flock.

Plenty of good material here

@jmaryt, for realz? Tetris is a video game where blocks of various shapes are falling down the screen and the objective is to rotate and position them to make them fit as tightly together as possible. Cf packing junk into a trunk. Um.....
