Always like to browse Flightadar24 Sunday after supper after my local race,
I get to see many foreign business jets flying out of the small local regional airport YHU a few miles away from my place going
to such places as Uk, Switzerland, Italy. The cars come in from the northern cargo terminal YMX.
Quite the change from seeing the normal training and intercity flights out of that airport.

I suspect they don’t give a hoot how much jet parking cost.

We had hosted a FormulaE right downtown a few years ago in 2017, that went so well with the pissed off locals
that the Mayor lost his re-election and the city broke the 6 yr contract for the financial loss, sued by the FIA…
only 45 K people showed up for the whole weekend, I had looked at the spectator layout and had
decided at the time I would not be missing nothing!

I asked the same thing. Also for COTA. As far as I know it's not.
This was super out of the ordinary according to my pilot friends.

Headed back to F1 Montreal 2024 with my dad.

After purchasing tickets, accommodations, and looking at flights... this trip will cost MORE than my 2018 visit which included a 1 week diversion to Quebec city.

Very excited, but my wallet isn't lol.

Ill be onsite for Fridays practice sitting at the Senna curve with a view of the pit exits for part of the day.

I managed to find a few cheap tickets within my retired budget a few weeks ago.
Hard to imagine back in the late seventies as kids we would climb the trees on the
inside of that curve and be over the fencing to watch the race.

Plan on checking out the support race pit area, just north of the hairpin near the bridge,
the teams are quite friendly to talk to if not busy.
PS: grandstand seats are very uncomfortable, Need to bring a padded seat.

Now that, is race that I would stay up to watch the whole thing.

The F1 soap for the 2024 season HAAS begun..


Simone Resta (technical director) walked away after disagreement with Gene Haas.

Guenther Steiner leaves HAAS as well due to teams performance, will be replaced by Ayao Komatsu as team principal.

So this leaves 2 positions open at HAAS.

Would anyone like to be part of an F1 team just update your CV and send it to Gene.

With the way HAAS handles their budget, all personnel probably stay in a single room hotel 40 miles away from the track and anything interesting.
