Speaking of hand injuries, I punched a hole in my left hand while working on a house project one time. It was tiny but bled a good amount, so just needed 2 stitches to close it up.

Doctor: OK, I can either poke you twice with a syringe for the anesthetic then do the 2 stitches or just poke you twice with the suture needle and be done with it
Me: Sure, lets be done with it (I aint no *****)

The pokes weren't so bad, but he didn't warn me about the yanking and tugging while he made the knots. That got me squirming like a little bitch lol

As long as we're showing hand/finger injuries:

I seem to have lost the pic of the injury itself...

But one night after dinner I was cleaning up and one ingredient had been in a tin can. Of course when I opened it I left the top on hanging by a thread. So for whatever reason that I'll never understand, I was rinsing it out to throw it away, pushed the top back in (along with my hand/fingers), then tried to pull my fingers back out while at the same time bringing the edge of the top up. Then as I started to freak out, I yanked my fingers out, meanwhile the sharp edge has a fun time ripping through my finger.

My index finger that night had a severed tendon, I lost all feeling from the last joint before the tip on, that part of my finger just drooped and there was no way for me to straighten it at all (wish I still had the photo...).

In the kitchen, blood was spurting everywhere, like what you see on tv/in the movies. Got on the wall of my kitchen behind my sink, trying to staunch it didn't work. Had to get the older gentleman relative of the apartment owner who lives in the front unit to give me a ride to the ER.

Had repairative surgery that night, could *feel* the doctor cleaning up the wound through my bone (he actually showed my mom how it had basically opened me up to the bone...).. It was this weird rubbing feeling, since he had to clean the area thoroughly.

Anyway, The End.

Oh hell yes. One of the worst things each of my hand surgeries is when they take out the stitches. The stitches get buried, and they have to yank and tug on them to get the scissors under them. All like 70+ stitches. Hurts like hell.

Random self-driving car thought of the day

Last night I was watching an episode of a cop show where they were closely trailing suspects and observing them which made me think, well there's one case where a pure self-driving car would do no good.

I would imagine it would be a while before a car that can easily get you from A to B autonomously could be told "OK follow them, but not too close and not too conspicuously. Make sure you stay out of site, but not so far out of sight I can't see what they are doing, oh and every once in a while parallel them on the next street over, but make sure we keep up".

In the end there are so many more "modes" cars are used in than just A to B I would think it will be a really long time before purely autonomous would be possible.

Then, after having that thought, I saw this article today that basically says even the ones that work, only work in good weather.

I think I'll keep my steering wheel for now thank you, maybe throwing in GMs advanced cruise control or similar for long trips.

Been there, done that. Hurts like a bitch for sure.

I'd say that and then dealing with the dry/old skin over the healing wound is the worst, because you want to scratch it or try cleaning it but you have to leave it all a certain way.

Because they don't piss. It is all mixed together. Many lizards have white poop as well.

It is sort of odd that this is about the fifth time I have answered that question on this forum.
