2JZ VVTi With CD009 Mounts Are Complete!

Very happy to announce that our mount kits are in stock and ready to go ! Please use this thread to ask any questions about VVTi and CD009 fitment into the chassis!

Introducing our new mount kit to mate your FT86 chassis (FRS/BRZ/GT86) with the mighty Toyota 2JZGTE VVTi engine and the Nissan CD009 6 speed manual transmission! This kit will include the left and right engine mounts which are a bracket and a 95a urethane mount along with the mounting bracket and polyurethane transmission mount for the CD009 transmission. All hardware included is grade 10 JIC for maximum strength. The kit does not include the 2JZ to CD009 Transmission Adapter kit, that kit is sold separately, email us for more info! You WILL have to heavily modify the transmission tunnel to accommodate the CD009 transmission as it is much larger than the stock transmission. Factory mounting brackets must be removed and the tunnel must be opened up quite a bit. The engine fits with only a few small modifcations including removing the factory strut bracing bracket and notching the front lower core support.

Looks like exhaust is going to be super tight under that trans mount.

Pretty similar to what we get with the vorshlag transmission mount though. It’s a tight squeeze. All the 2j guys run a hood exit anyway right???

@pureautomotive, Looks great! What do you guys suggest for routing an exhaust under the mount?

There's just nowhere else to put it unfortunately. We like to do an oval through the middle to help

if photobucket didn't ruin everything I would post the pic of my old car with the 3" oval routing. We run them next to the tunnel along the floor. Never had a ground clearance issue. Most transmissions are so big the tunnel is dead for anything exhaust related.
