New to the forum, new to significant mods such as these, and I've had my car('17) about a year now. I've been looking at getting the Cosworth supercharger, but I've also been looking at the FT-86 SpeedFactory Catted UEL Header and other exhaust components. Should these two work well together? Beyond the slight loss already mentioned, would there be anything else of any concern with this pairing?

that should be fine
to be honest adding the charger to give you an extra 100+ bhp means if you lose 5 bhp due to the manifold means you won't really feel the difference?

as ever I'm happy to dial the tune in as required anyway

My supercharger arrived today! Now I just need to wait for my exhaust to get here and find some good time to get everything installed.

It's great to see more owners of the Stage 2 kit! I'm still sporting the 1.3 set up for my '17 BRZ and still loving it.

Got some more engine codes today. I got C1201 and P0441. I reset the codes, retightened the gas cap and put a hose clamp on the evap purge hose. Hopefully I won't get that again.

Later in the day I got a CEL again. This time it was C1201 and B14A1. This is "sunload sensor open". The traction control disable light came on and the cruise control stopped working. The indicator lit up yellow. I reset these codes but haven't driven it since.

This is 3 times I've gotten C1201. Don't really know what's causing it. It's supposedly a communications error within the ECU. I wonder if reflashing the ROM would help?

Aw man, I hope it isn't anything bad and just a pesky code.

I drove it for a few weeks with no problem. Then that evap hose slipped loose from the purge solenoid. That's when I got my first code. I also have a bad habit of not fully tightening the gas cap. I made sure it was tightened this time.

I put a hose clamp on the evap hose so it wouldn't come loose anymore and I reflashed the rom to start over. Maybe something got screwy in the ECU. I don't understand the sunload sensor. Maybe that was just a fluke.

I think what is going on is that the ECU has gotten confused (commuinication error). When it throws the ECU code, it puts some random item in "safety mode". One time it disabled the traction control, another time it disabled the cruise control. Last night it lost communication with the sunload sensor for the auto climate control system. None of this started until I got my first code with the evap hose coming loose. So now that has been secured and I reflashed the ROM to start over. I just need to make sure I always tighten the gas cap. Bad habit from a previous vehicle... I snapped a cap off one time overtightening it. It was an old truck.

I'll tell you one thing, though. When you reflash the ROM the car has almost no power at first. I think either the spark or valve timings are fully retarded to protect the engine from initial spark knock. It takes awhile for everything to advance out and give you full power. So for those just installing the supercharger, it wonl't have full power at first until the ECU learns everything.

Try using cruise control in map mode 1. There's a custom map matt added for a fueling tweak that seems to cause fuel trim to go nuts when using cruise control in map mode 2-4. The custom map isnt used in map 1 and so I just switch to map1 when I want to use cruise control.

Alternatively the custom map can just be removed/disabled but I'd rather have it and switch to map 1 on the very rare occasion I want to use it.

Drove about 50 miles today. So far no check engine light. Seriously, this car drives like a dream. This is a daily driver and so I put it through all sorts of driving scenarios. Real light and easy and full on ripping through mountain roads. It performs flawlessly. On none of the 3 times with a CEL have I noticed any drivability problems. I think it's just a nuisance trip from the emissions system and not a real issue.

I'll keep an eye on it and report back if I get any more errors.
