I was there all three days over the weekend. Started out on Turn 1 Friday, but moved to Turn 19 for Saturday and Sunday.

The new track is amazing. The entire time I was there, I was in constant amazement that it was really happening. Even though I was hopeful, I was extremely skeptical that they could pull it off. Especially given the timeline they were running. Kudos to the COTA team.

I went to Suzuka for the Japanese GP last year, and even though I had a really good time there, the US track produced some amazing racing. The combination of low traction on the new asphalt, plus all the drivers learning the best lines around the circuit made for a really good race. The first Ferrari race on Saturday was really fun to watch. It was like bumper cars.

I am really, really, really, really hoping someone holds an HPD event out there at some point in the near future. I would be willing to pay a lot of money to spend the day out there doing laps.
