Makes sense. What do you use it for apart from that?

Looking for a simple "unplug stock horns & plug in new horns" upgrade.

I know you can get the kit from Subispeed/FT86SpeedFactory, but I don't care for adding a relay, and an additional harness. I just want to unplug/unbolt the stock horns, plug-in/bolt on new horns.

Your best bet for true plug-n-play/bolt-on would be the OEM units in the first post. I even found a video.

But adding relays and harnesses and switches is totally worth it if you want a slightly louder horn!

I may have found some stuff on some Japanese car websites but it wasn't clear. If you compare the mounting and the plugs its all same. There is a pretty good chance it will work.

I just step on the gas and they can hear that I'm there. I think my exhaust is louder than my horn anyways.

There are plenty of available aftermarket horns that are louder than stock, everything from multi-tune horns that will play Dixie to train horns that require the installation of an air tank to run them.

Personally there have been times when I would have liked to have had an LRAD....

Yeeaaahhh, that doesn't work so well when they are about to cut you off. Well, at least if you care about your front bumper.

People tend to ignore normal horns these days. I upgraded to train horns for fun, but they've proven invaluable in getting people to actually REACT, which is the whole damned point of a horn, lol.
