How much do they normally charge for flipping tires?

Since the OEM tires are non-directional, i'm assuming there will be no problem flipping it inside to outside. Just curious how much tire shops usually charge for flipping all 4 tires?

They charge the same as mounting them since it requires rebalancing. They guys at my local Firestone cut me a deal do it for $60. Some places will charge a lot more though. Wal-Mart would be the cheapest, but I don't recommend that unless you hate your car. lol

I rotate mine every oil change and the inside is wearing faster then the outside (all four tires). Yes my alignment is fine.

Damn I didn't know they had to re-balance wheels just for flipping tires.

They charged me $120 last time when I went to pull the TPMS + tires off stock wheels + balance on to my new wheels.

Do you think its even worth it if they charge me $120 for flipping? Would it prolong my tire life enough to justify it instead of buying new tires?

If I read his post correctly, he went to flip the tires, not rotate. When you flip tires I assume the weight of the tire is going to be all wonky since one side is worn out more then the other, thus requiring a re-balance. I aint no tire expert though.

Maybe you should work on your reading comprehension skills. I do my own rotations.

OP's question was about flipping tires, not rotating them. Jesus people are fucking stupid!

You get fucked.

I see now that OP mean swapping inside to outside, not just a normal rotation. At this point, probably best for new tires. The way I read it originally I thought he meant rotating tires, because seriously wtf swaps inside tread to outside???? That is only for the cambergang broke asses and he says he isn't hellaflush. Meh. If "flipping" tires you will need a rebalance.

Flipping means flipping. Rotating means rotating. How can so many people confuse those terms? BTW I wouldn't have said anything, but you started it with that snarky little comment. I know my shit and I don't get fucked over by anyone.

I stopped reading after it turned into a forum war so if anyone hasn't said this...

-120 isn't a bad price for "Flipping" not rotating which is what you're saying.
-I dont think flipping or buying new tires is worth anything if you can't figure out WHY.
-The new tires or current tires if flipped will do the exact same thing. I know you said your alignment is fine, but something has to be off for this to happen. unless you are tracking/mountain running/ or pulling a G on a skid pad everyday theres no reason for tires to wear like that. It obviously must be pretty bad for it to bother you and notice it.
-Me personally I would take it to the best alignment shop I could find and have them check it again. Fix the issue. Find a parking lot burn them down to the wire and buy new "GOOD" tires lol. thats just me though

Buy your tires @ Costco, cheaper tires + free tire rotation.
