Why did you wash it at all ....... our air is pure and our "soil" has not been aged long enough to make clay, let alone dust....??

BTW, what kind of filter material was it ..... ??

If it was an oiled filter ...... why did you wash it with something "foamy" .. ??

If it was a paper filter ...... why did you "wash'' it at all ..... ??

If it was a washable, dry filter ...... why didn't you "cook" it in the oven before replacing ... ?? (on the center rack at 300 degrees F, for 15 minutes).

Unless it is an oiled filter, next time just replace it with a new one .......

It was a washable dry filter, thats meant to be re-used over and over again.

Not like back-in-the-day, when we would take out the round paper filter, tap it a few times on the concrete, blow air through it with an air hose (from the inside out of course), turn it over ...... and put it back in.

I don't get why modern air filter boxes are such a pain in the ass to take apart and put back together. Old cars just a wing nut and bam!

Metro makes these awesome old skool products in the good old USofA I use that blower all the time. I bought that 500W steel casing hand vac too later on. Even comes with a mail order card for parts and accessories.

I didn't turn them over. I preferred finding the original grooves smushed in so it didn't have to deform any more.
