Well, I was supposed to be the catcher in that one. My daughter will be in enough pain for the event. Tcoat can relax in the waiting room.

I was chatting w my friend on fb and one of my friend got into car wreck last night. He was driving back from shopping and driving in left and car in the middle lane all the suddenly changed lane without any turn signal and try to get into his lane swiping him and smashing him into island with decently high concrete wall (due to trees are planted there) totaling his car. Now, these shit happens, I get that... but her excuse for swiping him was "well, he have dark car and I didn't see." Yes, he did have grey color car. If she said "He was in the blind spot." still annoying, but make sense. It's not like he drive black sports car that dropped to the ground, it's a bone stock Impreza for god sake, so it's not low. Police agreeing with her making it sounds like it's not her fault, so my friend got pissed and yelled at the lady saying "If you didn't have illegal tint on the window, you could of f'cking see my car." Police didn't even bother checking the window or anything, but just warn my friend to calm down.

Maybe Police was trying to calm down the lady and just listening to the story... but prob not a smart idea to keep both of em near by, so they can listen to the story.

Part of the training is to sort of agree without committing themselves. It makes the people open up and talk more which helps get the whole story. Grey cars are not rare so I highly doubt the cop felt she was correct.

I assume so... but at least give two driver a space, so they don't get into arguments.

Ya that is also investigation 101. Each person should never be able to hear what the other's statement is.

Bring on the flame but I'm against any sort of tint for this very reason. I don't know why, but for me, polarized sunglasses through the anti-glare pattern isn't as bad as permanent tint.

I agree. I don't have any tint on my car, cuz 86/BRZ have a lot of blind spots as is, I don't need to make it harder. Yes, I'll admit it'll make the car looks cool and prob help reduce the heat in the hot sunny day, but yeah... I don't want to wreck my car.

I have had dark tint on my last 5 cars. I have never even come close to hitting anybody. It doesn't interfere in the least if you actually look instead of taking a casual glance (or nothing at all) like many people do. Odds are they would have done the same thing even if the car was bright yellow with flashing lights and reflective stripes. Blaming tint or car colour is just an excuse.

I was looking into tint. I don't like the dark windows, but 3M makes some really good stuff now that doesn't even tint but blocks out goo gobs of UV.
