I never had a problem with freedom as a kid, and when I did I climbed out of my second floor Window. Yeah those where my punk days. But I think at first they gave me a 9 o clock curfew but I was like screw it and came home later. Finally they started trusting me-or maybe since our town was very safe and I was only 'down the block at a friends house' they didn't mind.
Do your parents hit you/break any of your stuff if you do something wrong?
If not I say go for it and leave. Every parent yells at their kid, some take away their things but it's only for a little bit-I highly doubt they would take away college education as a punishment that'd be really messed up.
It sounds like they really love you-and will forgive you eventually for going. Most parents can't stay mad at their kids for very long.
So either leave a note saying where you went and when you'll be back.
Or lie and make it sound like you're doing something with a friend near by for x amount of days.

thunder storm came rolling in after we came home to drop off the other car and 86 does not go out in the rain yet.

I will go for a drive tomorrow i will bring the DSLR with a few lenses and the Nikon J1 which films in slow motion with me to get some good shots if i can find a nice location :happy0180:

So just found out the 93 escort has 0 air bags.
Now I'm even more scared to be in it.
Also the tires are 13"and people want to charge us 80$ a Tire because they are hard to find. Is this bs? Or is this true? Any advice?

13in tires? Wow, um, smallest I've seen that I can recall are 14in. Check Tirerack and see if they have any 13in tires.

You have a cell phone right? The biggest thing is having them trust you, if you ask to go just let them know you'll keep in touch and let them know you get to where you're going safely. The biggest thing for most parents is worrying and not knowing about their child.

I had no problem going wherever I wanted after I got my license, though it was also one of those cases where if I screwed up I wasn't going to get bailed out at all.

I recall one night rolling home at about 3am and meeting my Dad on the road leading home; had been a night of racing around with some friends. He did the same when he was my age. So we stopped, had a talk, he asked how the night went and gave me a few tips on how to really push the car XD (he and my uncle "stress tested" it a while before I got to drive it). He was cool with it all though and trusted me.

I also remember a night where I had missed an appointment I had with him to help out with some stuff as I stopped by a party, still makes me feel like crap to this day.

Anyway, lesson is: just talk it out with them and bargain responsibly. If they can be convinced you can be contacted at any time during the trip and that you'll be responsible, odds are you'll get to go.

Also, it's in summer. Make a friend before then, make sure it's someone your parents like and trust. And the two of you go. Split the travel cost, hotel, w/e. Win/win.

It's still snowing like crazy... Do love my car for these kind of weather... But do not like other cars on the road on these kind of weather... Too many crazy driver. Want to go shopping... but not sure it's worth going

go to Toys'R'Us and buy some PowerWheels tires. i think those are the right size.
