I love my dealership 99% of the time. They do a good job, are very friendly and have taken great care of me. However, they rotated my tires at my 7500 mile service and now.. I can not loosen the wheels. I don't have an impact, but I couldn't do it with a 4 way wrench.

Should I ask them to loosen and correctly torque? Do I need to be worried about stud damage?

I intend to autocross the car and I think I will lose my mind if I lose a wheel because I didn't nip this in the butt.

What do you guys think?

Edit: more concerned about possible damage, any opinions on that? I was thinking dealer because they could replace the studs while they're at it.

you shouldn't have to go all the way to your dealership, any tire place could loosen then re-tighten them correctly. not supposed to tighten them down with an impact anyways (according to my teacher in auto-tech)

Did you try to stand on the factory lug wrench? I've never had a lug nut I couldn't remove.

The next time that your at the dealer just ask them to only use a torque wrench to factory specs. I have to do this with my guys because I've got aftermarket lugs that you can't use air tools with.

This is one reason I always mount and rotate my wheels myself. You can get an inexpensive floor jack, torque wrench, breaker bar, and sockets at Harbor Freight for under $100, and have the satisfaction of doing it yourself, and knowing it was done right.

Stand on the wrench. That's what I had to do the first time I did a DIY. Then just do it yourself from now on.

Do you have a long metal/PVC pipe you could stick on the end of your wrench? That would give you more leverage and it would be much easier to get it loose.

Most people can "squat" or lift more than their own weight, are u pulling up on the wrench or pushing down? Ie if u weigh 150lbs thats the most u can possibly push down with before u lift urself off the ground, give or take fulcrum points and leverages. but u can most likely lift much more than 150lbs of force on the wrench

Apply wrench, use car jack under end of wrench, protect the eyes, cross the fingers, and viola.

4 way lug wrench, I weigh 220 and pulled up on one side and pushed down on the other. I bent my wrench slightly

Probably made in China.

When bolts are "stuck" like yours, especially steel bolts mated to aluminum, they often need a very sharp RAP; this breaks the fastener free. Where slow, progressively increasing force will lead to bending things, and rounding-off the bolt heads, a sharp RAP (with a hammer, for instance) will free it. There's too much "stiction" at work. Break that "stiction" bond.
