2006 Cayman Race car VS BRZ dyno

Race spec 2.7l 2006 Cayman on the rollers. This was already tuned via a canned tune and had headers and exhaust.

Made 223whp on our dyno. I overlaid the power curve with our 2022 BRZ with stock tune, UEL headers and catback. The BRZ is 2.4l and direct injected and it’s the dotted line.

You can clearly see the Porsche makes more power everywhere, but the gap is not that large and gives you a frame of reference for the capabilities of the 2022 BRZ.

210 at the wheels... nice

Do you have another thread where you talk about the UEL on the 22? Or any tuning/build threads for the 22? Thanks

Nice comparison. I'd be curious to see what a stock 987 would look like on that chart. In my mind, the two are probably very similar.

You're probably right. If I get one in, I will be sure to post it up.

It will be interesting to see how the power curve changes with a canned/custom tune and the header.

I think the tune even without the header would close up most of that gap, add headers and it would be game on drivers race. Who can brake later, who makes less mistakes on their laps lol. It's funny how even with all the best tech, best car, ect, that ultimately it can come down who makes less mistakes.

When competing you realize the driver makes a big difference - especially at amateur levels.

We need a Gen 1 Spec Twins racing series in Western Canada. I don't fit in Miatas lol.
