My GR86, soon to have TRD full kit, Called "Wingo MK2"

Some of you may remember me from the old GT86 days where I posted the Car Journal of my GT86 Aero - called Wingo -> https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22222

Well, after 6 years away from the twins I am back with a GR86, and it will be known as "Wingo MK2" - This time however it will only be with the full TRD kit without a big ass Wing unlike the original Wingo.

I just took Delivery of Wingo so I am currently still at the start of my Journey, but have already alot of parts ready to be installed in the next few days.

Plans so far:
Full TRD Kit (Front, Rear, Side, Ducktail)
TRD Aero Stabilizer
Oz Leggera 8x18 Wheels with 245 Tires
KW V3 Coilovers
Milltek Catback Exhaust
GR Shift Knob
Some Carbon Interior Parts

I will be back after the weekend with more pictures after I could start work on the car.

For now I leave you with a picutre of where Wingo lives and what cars he shares his room with

Welcome back! I loved your other build. Glad to see you posting here again.

Gorgeous MR2 Spyder as well! Such fun cars (I have one), but a very different driving experience than the first or second gen 86!

Thanks, and glad to see some familiar faces here :-)

Yes, the little Frog as I call the MR2 is super fun to drive, even tho they could use a bit more power - and over here they are super cheap to get.

Some minor stuff done today

GR Shift Knob

Aswell as some carbon fiber overlays since I really felt the plastic interior looked super cheap

I also installed the TRD Aero Stabilizer - looks soo much better than stock, and honestly the car should come like this from the factory in my view

Tomorrow I'll install the Milltek Exhaust and will post some more picutres then

Love the trunk aero stabilizer thing, looks great. I had one on my 13, I have another one now waiting to go on my 14!

Edit: And yeah not too much HP on the MR2 Spyder. Mine has AEM CAI, header & full catless exhaust, and a Unichip tune device thing. Helped wake it up for sure and wow it's loud (and smelly).

Installed the Milltek Catback today - Its by far not broken in yet, but I do like the sound in the lower rpm range already. I will make a video with sound once the car (and the exhaust) are broken in properly. Until then, just some pictures.
Not sure btw if the exhaust tips will stay, as the TRD Rear Bumper is designed for quad exhaust tips - so I may have to change them once the kit is on.

Nice choice. Very mature sounding exhaust.

Moving forward with the Project.

Got the TRD Wing installed (we sadly dont get them with the premium one as USDM does, so if you want them over here, you have to go over aftermarket)

Also installed the OZ Leggera HLT with 245/35/18 Michelin Pilot Sport 5.
Car looks like a Rallycar now :-)

Next up will be installing the KW Coilovers and do some proper aligment.

Nice wheels. Very fancy!

Did the spoiler install just with 3M tape, or bolts as well?

Bolts aswell - not because they are needed - but because of the very strict swiss laws - we acutally have to show almost every change to the car to the officials - and every part needs to have some certification and documentation about materialquality, installation and pedestrian safety etc - and since the certification on the wing requires the bolts to be used for installation

The rest of the TRD kit will be even funnier - there do no legal documents exist in switzerland yet, as nobody every imported it and therefore also nobody ever got it certified - that will be my job now and it will probably be a very nice and bureaucracy heavy (and expensive) process.

hahahaha, thanks, I'm pretty sure I will come back to this offer soon :-)

Today I installed the KW V3 Coilovers - I still have some mild rubbing issues in the front at full lock, but this will have to wait for now. Tomorrow I'll do a proper aligment/camber and then see how to fix the rubbing.

Just a short pic how the car sits right now

Wow, nice! It certainly looks a lot different lowered!

KW V3 is what I ended up with on my first FR-S, great ride quality.
