That little spot is perfect, the brush has never managed to fall despite my crazy driving.
@HKz had to share... I was at an employee event a couple of days ago and my employer was giving away these little beauties. Technically they are keyboard brushes, but the work great in the car, and the round end cleans fingerprints off the head unit.

I removed the key chain portion and keep it in the cubby hole with the bristles retracted when not in use.

It has the company logo on the flip side.

yea the round end is a half ball that wipes fingerprints right off the screen. It's some type of soft foam.
