Toyotacare Service 2 yr Coverage?

I took my car to one dealership and they gave me a sticker on my window marking a oil service change for Toyota care every 5000 miles (5000, 10,000, 15,000, 20,000, 25,000), but I brought it to a different dealership today and they told me that the sticker is wrong and only applies to other cars and the GR86 only gets covered for 3 services total in its 2 year period. Which is true?

What does the service document that came with the car say?

I think the manual has less to do with this. I want to know how many free $140 services I can get out of Toyota 🤣

Not the manual the service documents. Pretty sure there are only three scheduled for the GR86
Doesn’t it vary by dealership anyway? Do they all offer free ones?

Actually, the manual has to do with it some.

Toyotacare is 2Yrs/25K and is based on the scheduled maintenance.
Per the warranty/maintenance guide(manual), you have 7.5K service intervals, each including oil/rotation. So, within 2/25, you get 3 free services of oil/rotation. I believe cabin air filter is included in the 2nd service as well (15K)

Another example, a Camry has 10K oil interval but needs to come in every 5K.
At 5K rotation only, 10K oil/rotation/cabin, 15K rotation, 20K oil/rotation/cabin, 25K rotation. Total=5 services but only 2 of them include oil.

Make sure you come in on the nose though. Even though there is a grace period of like 1mo/1k miles, some advisors are dumb.

That's definitely a lie, our cars do count for the 2 year ToyotaCare maintenance, I know because I did it with my car for 2 years. ALL new Toyotas come with it, no exceptions.

The manual does control it, not what the service guy says; it's literally right there in writing from the manufacturer. However if they really fight with you that much, I'm not sure I'd trust them with my car.

That being said they've really extended service intervals on vehicles these days. Don't forget there is a time component though too, even if you don't make the mileage.

I took mine to dealer at 650 miles for oil change and some warranty stuff. They said I had 3 free services and did I want to use one for this visit.

Just my experience FYI. I didn’t even know about the maintenance.
