I only focus on a few major events in a year. I dont need a text group of 500+ people. Plus unless everyone in the group text has ios or android they never work properly

Facebook is good for knowing what's up locally. I'm not really a car meet kind of guy, but I might drop by one if one is close. People swapping parts nearby has come in handy already via FB. The local group is a place where people know each other and can vouch for each other. I would rather trade through that than a random craigslist post.

The forums are infinitely better for technical information. Searching through posts by topic, etc. That stuff isn't on Facebook, or Youtube, or Tiktok.
