Did you have fun?
Did the car come back in once piece?
Do you want to do it again?

If yes to all it was a successful day. Driver mod takes time.

Good job for your first time out. A suggestion for next time would be to try to smooth out your the throttle application. Jabbing at the gas pedal really upsets the balance of the car which will make you more prone to spinning out especially in low-grip situations.

Good on you for being out there, track time is a hell of a drug :P

Also, dont freak out too much over going faster or anything like that, it takes time, seat time. Allow yourself to learn and grow together with your car, you have an excellent base to do so. Lastly, have fun, always have fun

You’re starting down the rabbit hole!
First track day is a lot to unpack out there. Get coaching it will advance you so much faster.

Just to clear things up a bit. This was my 1st time on the track with the BRZ. It was not my first time ever. I have been out in 3 different AWD subarus before and had 10+ session with a coach.
This does not mean I do not need coaching, as I DO. It`s RWD and very strange to me as it oversteers easy, turns in easy and probably needs a new line etc etc. So yes many mountains to climb.

I was going to mention how it seemed easy for you to get the rear loose on exit at relatively low speed. Bit of line work/throttle control you'll get there.

AWD is good at masking those things. Keep at it!

I love your attitude.

Please don't hesitate to ask questions, so we can help you progress.

If you're interested in remote coaching and/or video/data coaching, don't hesitate to reach out. That's what I actually do for a living.
