I asked them yesterday while at the Edelbrock tour about tracking and head soaking. They replyed they have don extensive testing on the wheel dyne and it all looked good there. But have not had the car on the track yet. Hopefully in a couple of weeks.

He should charge himself the cost of the kit to install it. That way it's like he's paying for it with his labor :p

Give me a break! If he is a licensed ASE mechanic, as he stated, what difference does it make if he is operating within a licensed business? Gotta love big ole American company CYA. This makes the Edelbrock kit much less of a value to the DIY car owner. I wonder how Vic would feel knowing that his company is turning from its garage hot rodding roots. I was a 17years old installing a victor junior intake manifold one summer on an old Chevelle I had, I called Edelbrock for some advice on a vacuum line problem I was having. I talked to the man Vic Jr. himself. Pretty cool, I'll never forget that- giving advice and talking to a 17 yo kid. This is indeed a different feel from the experience I had back then. No warranty if you don't spend an additional $500+ on install stinks! (Flame suit on) |

Well, it'll take a while (a long while) before the wife will let me drop this kind of money on something. So I can wait.

I don't think its out of line for Edelbrock to expect some amount of accountability, expecting that the work be done by a professional and at a place of business. |

That's correct BigFatFlip, Edelbrock warrants each new supercharger kit to be free from defects in both workmanship and material for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase, provided that the product is properly installed and subjected to normal use and service.
The installation requirements are for the Powertrain Warranty. |

Even with the flame suit, it is burning! Ok, great warranty. I get it. Still...
