lol, because Visconti tuned a bit of the torque dip out?

The lower run is just with an exhaust. The 200whp run, is I/E/Tune.

All I did was load the run files into WinPEP and screenshot it.

I'm not going to keep arguing this with you... but this is what I mean. The new green lines are a trace of the blue run, shifted over to start at the same RPM as the red run. That plot looks much more like I would've expected, especially the torque curve around the dip. It starts later than stock and ends earlier and doesn't dip as much.

I'll make this easy for you.

Here are the dyno files.

It depends on where the guy floors the car when its on the dyno. Shifting it over like that is incorrect. You can look at other plots and the torque dip never really has a later onset, it has an earlier finish after tuning. Also after shifting over the chart peak torque hits around 5000 RPM, which I've never seen on another dyno chart, it always hits right at 4700 or so RPM. So shifting it over you've made the chart look like something I would not expect given the other charts which are out there. The car makes about the same power at 2500 RPM as it does around 3000 RPM.

I base lined at 172whp with just an axleback at a few hundred above sea level.

No, I didn't bring the stock exhaust with me.

For what it's worth, I did follow the manufacturers break-in to a T and changed my oil at 1000 miles.

Unfortunately, until one of these shops actually steps up and releases a good header... I think this is the max we are going to see NA, without cracking the motor open.

It's amusing. A couple shops immediately came out with "ohh we made like 187whp on a header" and then never released them. Kinda lame if you ask me.

A few hundred above sea level? Where were you? I thought most of Mass is at sea level...

With regards to the header, it's tough because of the cat in the factory header. If you remove that, you're gonna have some emissions problems. I know some people go cat-less and can find ways to fool the emissions tester into thinking there's no CEL, but I'm not about to do that; too much of a closet tree-hugger. I really hope someone steps up to the plate and offers a quality catted header that's 50-state friendly.

I don't know about Mass, but in MD I'm from just above sea level to about 300 depending what part of the state I'm in.

You're not going to get a 50-state header; California just makes it too hard. Just keep a high flow cat downstream of the header.

Not an option. I have a header back exhaust.

Not an option FOR YOU. I knew I'd want a header without a cat so I opted for a high flow cat in the front pipe I purchased (it's in the garage, not on the car). Anyone who does research should come to a similar conclusion; header is worst placement of the cat, front pipe is better. Buying a front pipe without a cat is just a poor decision IMO. I wouldn't run catless, but I opt to have the cat in the less intrusive place.

Im sorry, I do not. This was a dyno day with over 30 cars, they just gave me a print out. I may be able to have them email me a winpep file.

Yeah see if they have the run saved. Download winpep from dynojet's site and play around with it once you receive the run file.
