Question FR-S seat swap out?

I apologize if this has already been asked before, or if this is the wrong place but I was curious...

In the FR-S the front seats have this chunk of red on the top sides of the seats, i personally do not care for them. Are the BRZ seats interchangeable with the FR-S seats? I love the BRZ seats and stitching and It would work better for me and what i want to do.

I ideally wanted to see if this would work so I could possibly switch with a BRZ owner who was in the same boat about there seats as I was.

I don't like the lint-attractiveness of the stock FR-S seats. I was considering getting leather seat covers. Anyone tried those? Am I better off replacing the entire seat? How much would that set me back vs. a $500 pair of covers?

Honestly first, while a pair of seat covers would work im opposed as most look obvious. I would first see if there is anyone local that wants to maybe do a swap or a trade for seats, either brz or other compatible seats. That’s what im doing first.

Aside from disconnecting the battery, what other precautions should be taken to ensure no mishaps occur with the seats' internal airbags (resulting in unintentional deployment)? Although the seat covers go over the OEM seat covers and they have special stitching I'm worried if it'll mitigate the airbag's functionality in case of an accident.

When I reskinned my seats, I disconnected the battery when I did the first seat, but forgot on the second. Ask the manufacturer of the seat covers if they work with the side airbags, they should but it never hurts to ask to ensure compliance.
