Bilstein B16/B14 and rear tophats: Dumb, drill, or buy something else?
Pretty self explanatory, but I'm trying to put together my B14 rear coils and the OEM tophats. I was under the impression it was just plug and chug. While the spring fits the perch, after removing the adjustment knob, there is absolutely zero chance of getting the tophat fed over the threaded post, it doesn't fit and I'm not going to force it. Should I 1. Do further disassembly and make it all fit together 2. Drill out the OEM top hats (yikes) 3. Buy some other top hats, if so what would you recommend? For now, I am putting suspension back to stock -_- |

I do believe the instructions are for you to drill it out, #1 is not an option.
Page 6 says to drill a 12mm diameter hole; https://static.summitracing.com/glob...m4-y666a00.pdf Diftech or Raceseng have aftermarket options. |

I ask a local engineering shop to drill mine so it was neat and central.
