RZNT4R might have a good point about a sloppy engine mount. After going to a different mechanic today and trying to figure out what the issue might be they said its 80% an engine/transmission mount issue. They said everything else was fine with the car. I’m paying a big amount so I hope this is truly the problem. I will update you guys after the parts come in and get installed. It should be about 2 weeks. Thank you again for all your help guys. I really hope this is the problem.

Were they actually able to reproduce the sound and isolate the source? Keep us posted. Good luck!

80%?

Ultramaroon asked and I don't think it was clarified, but from the sound, I'd wager it can be reproduced with the car at a standstill... If I could have the car on a lift doing the noise, I'd be damn well more than 80% sure. I mean, you can't ask for an easier noise to find, you can probably actually put a finger on it.

Sorry I missed that question. To answer that question, yes the car was in idle it was not moving when I recorded that sound. I was just on drive and holding down on the brakes in one spot. Also, I think they said 80% because they don’t want to tell me they are 99% sure or something incase it doesn’t work. It’s literally the only problem they found so I really hope this is it. Thanks again for all your help guys.

They put it on a lift and inspected it and noticed small sound changes that led to thinking it might be the mounts. I will for sure keep you posted. Thank you!
