Any suggestions on where to go from here?

Do one or two autocrosses first if you can find some close by, they are cheap and fun and will teach you a lot in a short amount of time. Then ask around locally to find the best beginners track if you have options. Then find a club that you want to run with, connect with them to register for a HPDE in a novice group with an instructor and start enjoying some track time!

Oh, and don't forget to buy track day insurance. I use Lockton

Yep agreed, that soundtrack was spot on. And nice driving of course.

So... I take it there will be no mention on the main page of FT86club about a BRZ chasing a 911 GT3?

Funny thing about the music is that I only timed the first point-by with it.

The music climaxing for the point-by at the end was purely coincidental!

With Lockton I got a PCA member discount. They insured the car plus all my mods against damage on track and in the paddock for the whole weekend for around $150 with a 15% deductible.

Not bad. I might to look into them also. Up till this point I've never done insurance, but my new mods for my car I would definitely like to have it now.

Nice work! Smooth driving and an excellent balance of car sounds and music.

I have to ask what kind of camera mount system you are using. It really lets you "feel" the weight transfer when you watch the video.

Thanks!

I'm using the GoPro side mount. It has an adhesive base that slaps on to the side of my helmet, and the rest of the mount is detachable. Some people hate it because it makes them sick watching the footage, but I let YouTube detect and automatically stabilize the footage after uploading it. It's distorted a little bit in a couple moments in the video, but it an improvement overall from the raw footage.
