Another fantastic day out at CDC autocross. I'll have videos edited and posted later tonight.

I managed a 49.3 as my best counted run of the day and later a 49.1. I was consistently in that time range, which is on par with those with a bit of suspension work and similar tires. I get the feeling with the proper suspension and a brake upgrade this car could be really mean.

Had a couple others drive the car who could chime in on their experiences ( @Areddi and @UncleFester)

Important thing I overlooked! Anyone who looked closely in the video may have noticed I finally have a Toyota badge on the steering wheel. This is thanks to @spitfire481's advice and this thread.

Here's some pictures of the finished product! I had a guy do it because I'm bad at this arts and crafts stuff...

The emblem had posts that needed to be sanded off, it also wasn't going to cover the spot where the Scion emblem was, so he put a felt backing on it.

Here it is attached to the steering wheel. I think it came out awesome. It does stick out a bit because it was slightly larger than the Scion emblem and couldn't fit into it's old spot, but with the backing attached it doesn't look like an afterthought.

Just took the car by @Pure Automotive to fix a couple very minor issues (small exhaust and oil leaks). While I was there we decided to do a quick Dyno pull with it. Here were the results:

Considering the fact that PTuning's Dyno Dynamics is supposed to read so low I'm not sure what the deal is. At any rate the numbers are still fantastic. If this reads the same then I gained 3 hp and 5 tq from fixing the exhaust leak, which is believable enough for me since it was a leak before the turbo.

Here's a video of the Dyno Pull.

Important update:

My clutch has begun to slip under heavy load... If I get into boost in 5th or 6th gear the clutch has about a 50% chance of holding the power. It seems reliable enough in 2nd and 3rd, but slips on a hard pull in 1st.

I'm not surprised since I'm almost at the upper limit of the torque most people would agree the OEM clutch can handle. On top of that I learned to drive a manual on this car so I wasn't very nice to the clutch for the first 3000 miles or so.

Anyway this means a new clutch is in my future... It's between three options right now:

Clutchmaster's FX350
Spec Stage 2+
Exedy Stage 2

I'm going a bit beefier for future proofing. I'd rather not have to buy a new clutch again until the motor explodes or something...

Big update since my last post:

Had an Exedy Stage 1 clutch installed at PTuning last Friday. Put 300 miles on it over the weekend. Got to about 350 miles today and decided the clutch could handle a small thrashing at this point. Boy was I leaving power on the table with the stock clutch.

This clutch wins the battle over my tires BIG TIME. Traction control was busy into 3rd gear, something I never experienced before. I am now very worried about what this is going to do to autocross! I feel like I have to relearn the car all over again. It's very exciting though. I'm so glad the car is back to life completely.

Edit: I'll be getting dyno'd again at PTuning this weekend. I would have had another dyno run at Pure Automotive this past Saturday but I didn't have enough miles on the clutch yet.

That's a bit of a story that I'll share later. I didn't dyno today because of an overboosting issue. I'll share more later on.
